Low pressure firetube boilers operating pressures are up to 15 psig. Higher pressure systems operate from 15psig to 350psig. Although firetube boilers are available in ratings up to 85,000 pounds of steam per hour (lb/hr), they are generally used when the steam pressure is under 150psig and boiler capacity is 25,000 lb/hr. Watetube boilers are used for larger, higher pressure, superheated steam applications.
View MoreThe low-pressure range of fire tube is up to 20 bar whereas in water tube up to 250 bar. The load fluctuations in the fire tube cannot be handled whereas, in a water tube, it can be handled easily. This boiler occupies more floor area for output whereas, in a water tube boiler, it occupies less area.
View MoreThe main design features of fire tube boilers are pressure 1– 1.6 –2.4 MPa, max. 4.0 MPa, steam temperature saturated, max. 400°C, and steaming rate ~10 kg/s, max. 50 kg/s. In addition to steam generation, a large number of fire tube boilers are used to heat hot water for residential or commercial use. Sign in to download full-size image
View MoreThe fire tube boiler burner blower static pressure, on the contrary, are intended for use at pressures below 2.5 MPa. fire tube boiler burner blower static pressure usually have a capacity of below 20t/h, while water tube ones of 20t/h or more as capacity expansion …
View MoreFire tube boilers are design up to maximum pressure of 350 PSI.
View MoreA pressure jet burner is simply an orifice at the end of a pressurised tube. Typically the fuel oil pressure is in the range 7 to 15 bar. In the operating range, the substantial pressure drop created over the orifice when the fuel is discharged into the furnace results in atomisation of the fuel.
View MoreTHE NEW 98% STANDARD Lochinvar re-defined the fire-tube boiler category with its KNIGHT® Wall-Mount and CREST® lines. For residential and light commercial applications, the FTXL™ adds models from 399,000 to 850,000 Btu/hr, and takes Lochinvar’s fire-tube technology to the next level.

View MoreThe nature of the facility’s operation will dictate whether a steam or hot water boiler should be used. Hot water is commonly used in heating applications with the boiler supplying water to the system at 180 °F to 220 °F. The operating pressure for hot water heating systems usually is 30 psig to 125 psig.
View MoreA typical boiler will consume many times the initial capital expense in fuel usage annually. Consequently, over the firing range of the boiler and tend to be unable to accurately hold the air to fuel ratio as boiler tube, add-on devices if the boiler is designed for optimum flue gas velocities in the first place. Each boiler pass should be

"High pressure boiler" means a boiler in which steam or other vapor is generated at a pressure of more than 15 psig, or water is heated to a temperature greater than 250°F and pressure greater than 160 psig for use external to itself. High pressure boilers include at the following:
View MoreFire tube boilers are low pressure or medium pressure boiler. Water tube boilers are high pressure boiler. Boiler pressure range between 20-25 bar (Low pressure) and for medium pressure boiler pressure range about 25-80 bar. Boiler pressure is up to 80 bar.

View MoreTypical capacities for a cross drum boiler range from 700 kg/h to 240 000 kg/h. Bent tube or Stirling boiler A further development of the water-tube boiler is the bent tube or Stirling boiler shown inFigure 3.3.7. Again this operates on the principle of the temperature and density of water, but utilises four drums in the following configuration.
View MoreApr 18, 2019 · Fire-tube boilers operate by letting hot combustion gases flow through tubes submerged in water. This converts the water surrounding the tubes to hot water or steam. Fire-tube boilers operate at relatively low pressures of around 150 psi (~10 bar). 2.
